mai mai has been with us for over a year so it is quite likely we'll keep her forever, especially given that no one has ever called to ask about her. she is a pretty great dog though in all ways: happy, healthy and energetic. she was injured previous to coming her (she was found on the navaho nation) and her jaw was broken. vets extracted bits of lead so it may be that she was shot. as always, we're just guessing what the breed of the dog might be. adoptions require a "donation" of minimum 100$ that helps both defray our costs and helps weed out deadbeats (yes, they're out there). a required donation sounds like an oxymoron, but there are times when we don't require any (from wonderful homes of limited means) and we are always grateful for larger donations. running dog ranch has borrowed a standard contract from petfinder which we require adopters to sign. it empowers us to certify that any adopted dog is taken care of in a way consistent with being a loved family member.
